

This home was built by my grandparents back in the 40’s he was a military man she was a homemaker! We lived around the kitchen with smoked fish and freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookies! At one time my uncles horse lived here and many of my grandfathers chicken! This home and land has lots of love surrounding it! There are many blueberry farms and amazing fishing spots! I can hand out brochures when you arrive. All kids get a pony ride & farm critter petting experiences! This is also the place to be if you want to bring your own horses, we have a 50x150 indoor arena and 10x12 box stalls with private paddocks available! Guided trail rides at Rollways may also be arranged.If you want breakfast, sack or picnic lunch, family-style bbq dinner or whatever, we can provide that as well when requested in advance. RVs, trailers & tents are all welcome.Our humble farm includes critters like horses, ponies, mini goats & pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys & more to interact with right here on our ranch. Plus, there are always many local seasonal events to attend.Our large campsites include fire ring or pit, public grill, limited electric, potable water sources, wifi & portable toilet. But, fortunately for me, the land was abandoned by the farmers and has returned to a much more natural and pristine state.

Piles of field stones indicate that after the timber industry moved on, farmers moved in and attempted to tame the land. Only two miles from my home, the logs were sent down the side of the hill and into the Muskegon River on log chutes and then floated to where the Muskegon empties into Lake Michigan. Running along the edge of my property is the old railroad bed where timber was once hauled away. In the late 1800's it was at the center of the Michigan Timber Industry. It was once the hunting, foraging and camping grounds of the Potawatami Indians. Sometimes, the creek drops over 60 feet below the surrounding terrain as it meanders back and forth in oxbows as it flows toward the Muskegon River. During the last ice age, glacial waters carved out the ravine in which the Betts Creek flows. My property (Lynx Run) has an amazing geological and historical background.
